It is crucial for the continued health of your heating system that it is cleaned thoroughly on a regular basis to stop the accumulation of sludge or debris. This type of obstruction accounts for over 80% of central heating issues and requires professional power flushing to both prevent and resolve the problem. Using high velocity, low-pressure jets of water to flush out the pipes, the technique is used to restore your central heating system to optimum operation and is recommended before the installation of any new boiler to an existing system.

Here at Master Gas, our team of fully qualified and experienced plumbers are on hand to carry out thorough power flushing for residential customers throughout London. With over two decades in the industry, we have the versatility to combat any central heating issue, no matter how large or small, and we have the ability to offer highly competitive rates on all of our quality services.

In order to ensure an even distribution of hot water to the radiators in a system, you’ll need to ‘balance the system’. Often the radiators near to the boiler/pump would tend to be warmer than the radiators further away, balancing the system will even out the flow of the hot water. Master Gas will come to your premises and balance your radiators in no time. Ensuring your property warms up correctly.

Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRV’s) feel the air temperature around them and regulate the movement of water through the radiator that they are connected to. They don’t control the boiler. They should be put at a level that gives you the room temperature that you want. These settings may differ, and that’s why Master Gas are specialists in installing TRV’s to help our customers regulate individual room temperatures.

A magnetic filter is a device that helps collect the sludge that can build up in a central heating system.

Much of the sludge is made up of rust particles that have corroded and come away from inside pipes or radiators. A magnetic filter is made up of a large magnet that attracts these particles and then filters them out of the system. This helps prevent blockages and keeps the water flowing through the central heating system smoothly. And most importantly increases the lifespan of your boiler. Master Gas will happily install or replace Magnetic Filters.

Limescale damage to plumbing pipework, cylinders and tarnishing of glass shower enclosures, taps and sinks can prove costly and time-consuming to repair or clean. As is the case with many problems, prevention is better than cure.

Whilst limescale appearing in our bathrooms, on taps, showers and surfaces is irritating, it is the impact on the efficiency of boilers, showers, hot water tanks, washing machines, irons, and taps is more significant. Left untreated, limescale increases the cost of daily living through the increased use of energy and of course the premature failure of appliances and hot water systems.

Installing the right system protection or water treatment for your home can save on repairs and hours of cleaning. We are familiar with many of the issues that can arise as a result of scale build-up and we have a number of solutions for your home. From water conditioners or water softeners to scale inhibitors, Master Gas will advise on the most suitable product to suit your property and budget.
